Daddy's Girl !!

"Anyone could be a father but it takes a very special person to be a DAD !!"

He was a legend and she would carry on his legacy. 'He' here refers to her Dad. The man she revered, idolized and worshiped. The only man in the world she believed was flawless and perfect. Not that he was. He was human after-all. But she refused to accept it any other way. He was her Hero. And the bond they shared was her most prided possession.

He was a journalist by profession and a very successful one at that. A creative genius and a very affable and energetic man in late 50's. He hailed from an average Indian household and had a very humble upbringing. But he rose above the ordinary and created a niche`for himself. He made his life a road map for her to follow and learn from. She had known his days of hardship and struggle in attaining the heights he eventually reached. She had witnessed the passion and will for success that the man nurtured. She knew the principles and ethics he lived by and never compromised on. She had seen him evolve as a person. He was an institution and she had garnered some great learning experiences from his life. He was her inspiration, her confidant and her biggest ally. She was who she was because of his role in her life. He'd taught her the importance of self-esteem, unconditional love and passion for perfection.

She grew up wanting to be in his best books and living his dream. She could get away with murder where he was concerned. He was her cornerstone, her epitome of impeccability and the deepest emotional connection she ever had.

She was 'Daddy's girl' personified............
